Bethel A.M.E. Church
The Church was established 1864 and was the first African-American Methodist Episcopal church in the state. The museum is housed in the restored 1890 building where Coca-Cola® was first bottled anywhere in the world in 1894. The 1820's Linden Plantation was founded by the Vick family and passed down through four generations to the present owners. Old Court House Museum - Eva W. Davis Memorial
The Old Court House Museum is Vicksburg's most historic building, constructed by slaves in 1858. The courthouse has hosted such prominent Americans as Jefferson Davis, Theodore Roosevelt, John Breckinridge, Booker T. Washington, William McKinley, and U.S. Grant. Built by the prominent Jewish businessman D.J. Shlenker in 1907, this home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Mississippi and Vicksburg Landmark. Southern Cultural Heritage Complex
The former St. Francis Xavier Convent and Academy, where the Sisters of Mercy lived and taught for over 125 years, consists of five buildings covering a whole city block that now comprise the Southern Cultural Heritage Complex. The Corners was built in 1872 as a wedding present for Susan Klein upon her marriage to Issac Bohnam. The Gray & Blue Naval Society Collection of models is on display in the Vicksburg Battlefield Museum, as well as a film presentation of The Vanishing Glory. Vicksburg National Military Park
Established by Congress on February 21, 1899, Vicksburg National Military Park commemorates one of the most decisive battles of the American Civil War: the campaign, siege and defense of Vicksburg. The 1,800-acre park includes 1,325 historic monuments and markers, 20 miles of reconstructed trenches and earthworks, a 16 mile tour road, antebellum home, and 144 emplaced cannons. In addition, the USS Cairo Museum, a restored Union gunboat, and the Vicksburg National Cemetery are located within the park. Wesley's first building was given to the slaves of the white Methodist congregation in 1858. Windsor Plantation Ruins
Twenty-three monolithic columns are all that remain of Windsor Plantation, the largest and finest antebellum mansion in Mississippi. Windsor survived the war and became a prominent landmark along the Mississippi River. It was destroyed by fire in 1890 when a party guest threw a lit cigarette into a waste basket. Yesterday's Children Antique Doll and Toy Museum and Shop
